I went to skiing tour with them today. It’s absolutely fantastic starting with the driver who picked us up. He makes us feel very welcomed and make good conversation regarding the history of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Meanwhile, the ski instructor named Aida if I am not mistaken, she is so professional and such a good teacher in giving is beginner lesson of skiing. Me and my wife totally happy to get her as our first ski instructor.
Fell in love with the mountains at Jahorina! With added history on top 🙂
My tour wasn’t listed in the drop down, I went on the Skiing tour with Siege of Sarajevo as this was an excellent cherry on top. As a complete newbie to skiing I wanted to go to a country that gave affordable prices and good hospitality! The FunkyTours was my first option this tour gave me the ability to ski that was really good prices and to be lost in the mountains in addition to experiencing the history, the hustle and bustle of Sarajevo at the end! It is a wonderful place to experience, full of culture, coffee, great food and friendly people. My organiser of the trip Ema was so welcoming as well as my skiing instructor Adhan. They were always making sure I was happy and had everything I needed. Adhan my guide gave great detail in terms of the history and the events that took place the siege. I stayed in a lovely hotel in Jahonira & Sarajevo and I felt well and truly cared for and looked after as a solo traveler. Cannot recommend the team more, look forward to seeing them again soon in the summer to enjoy the Bosnian heat in the waterfalls 🙂
Top Notch!
We absolutely loved everything about Funky tours. From the minute we started writing to plan the trip we knew it would be fabulous. Skender helped make sure that our tour was customized to what we wanted to see.
Skender picked us up at the airport when we arrived and provided us some background on the city as he took us to our hotel. He was very friendly and made sure he answered any questions we had before leaving us at our hotel.
The next day Skender had us booked for the city walking tour. We do not remember the name of the guide but he was excellent. He knew all the facts on Sarajevo. We were with a nice couple on the tour and he was willing to stop at a cafe along the way when we said we needed a rest break.
The next day is when we started our two day tour with Faruk. He was an awesome tour guide. He was so fun, knew all the history of what we saw and pretty much could naivgate anywhere in Bosnia. He made sure we got our vegetarian food, had great music to listen to in the car and that we got to visit the Olympic museum, Bob Sleds and an added bonus of the Olympic ski slopes. Also, he even was our photographer capturing every shot along the way.
On the second day, I ended up getting really sick on the tour and Faruk was willing to do anything to help me. He even offered to help find a doctor if needed later in our trip in Dubrovnik.
After our two days we thought the tour would end there. However, both Skender and Faruk checked in over the next couple days to see how I was doing and if we needed anything. We know we will be life long friends with Faruk.
Do not hesitate to book a tour with them. You will not be sorry. Worth every penny!
