Activity Note: The tour requires normal fitness level and it is easy to medium demanding. Due to the distance of the starting location, we use vehicles during the tour just to get to the starting point, the rest of the tour is on foot through beautiful and mesmerising nature.
We shall start the adventure by picking you up at your accommodation. During our ride to Stolac we will be accompanied by scenic roads and beautiful landscapes which will take us through resistant Herzegovina karst, boundless plantations and vineyards including the charming settlement – Buna Village nested at the confluence of the Buna and Neretva river.
Once in Stolac, we will meet with the locals and supply ourselves with tasty locally farmed organic products for picnic lunch. Catching the atmosphere of local markets and small talk with locals will offer us a real chance to learn about the community life in Herzegovina.

Our next stop will be amazing ancient town of Daorson. These spectacular remains of the capital of the Hellenised Illyrian tribe of Daorsi who lived in the valley of the Neretva River date back from 300 to 50 BC. No other settlement was subsequently erected at this location.
We will enjoy spectacular views and walk the ancient cyclopean walls made of huge stone blocks which used to house all of the important administrative, public and religious buildings.

Few kilometres from Daorson it is time to leave our vehicle and start with the short hike just on time before the famous Herzegovinian sun starts with its challenges. This will be a pleasant half an hour hike through karst featuring underground springs of refreshing drinkable water and wast plantation of wild growing fruits such as peaches, kiwis and tender, honey-like figs.
The trail is easy and mostly flat enabling you to completely admire the nature which simply found its way to incorporate into every segment of this area.

Wide karst of Herzegovina field will slowly lead us towards the stunning slot canyon formed by gentle flow of Radimlja river. As soon as our feet feel the refreshing water we will start our river tracing adventure. The canyon itself is not very wide which will, occasionally, mean we will do some fun manoeuvres over stuck log or boulder as well as some tight squeezes. It will take us roughly 20 min before the Radimlja jungle reveals its first, emerald green river basin.

The adventure will continue through narrow and occasionally deep canyon encountering numerous stunning basins. Being amongst the nature, sliding down the natural waterfalls into an inviting pool of refreshing water accompanied by melodies of wild life and running water, while trees and bushes rustle there is no mundane burden, email, phone call or errand to fail your complete harmony with the nature.

After, roughly, hour and a half we will witness the astounding and absolutely breathtaking scenery where Radimlja river passionately encounter glittering Istup Waterfall. We will make sure to spend enough time admiring this open air museum of pristine nature, endemic plant species and captivating wildlife.

Lush greenery surrounding the river and waterfall will give us enough space to have the well deserved lunch made of the fresh organic products we picked up this morning and, after some drinks and refreshments we will follow the river the same way back to a place where we have start. Knowing this amazing adventure will end soon, for the next hour and a half you will enjoy the Radimlja River challenges even more.

Welcome to Stolac, crossroad of civilisations and a favourite art shelter of many ex Yugoslavian authors, painters and inventors. Over the centuries, Stolac was known as town of romantic stories, legends and building bridges in order to connect people. Stolac will definitely blow your mind when it comes to cultural diversity. The town holds the epithet of a miniature representation of the Bosnian nature.
We will walk the old town of Vidoski, admire the numerous charming little bridges, witness the traces of four religions and learn about coexistence in diversity which gave the most recognisable trademark to Stolac.
