This tour is designed for guests with a normal level of fitness. Most hikes are moderate and paced for enjoyment, not speed. Optional biking and climbing are available for those who want more activity, but not required.
Q: Do I need to be an experienced hiker or sailor?
No previous experience is required. All hiking trails are led by local guides and suitable for beginners with average fitness. The sailing portion is fully crewed—no sailing experience needed.
Q: Can this tour be adjusted for lower fitness levels?
Yes. With advance notice, we can offer alternate routes, reduced hiking time, or easier activity levels on certain days. The pace is flexible and customizable.
⛵ What Is the Nature of the Sailing Trip?
Q: Is this a party-style sailing tour?
No—this is not a party cruise. Funky Tours sailing experiences are focused on authentic exploration, connection with nature, and relaxed enjoyment. While there’s plenty of fun, the vibe is respectful, peaceful, and mindful—ideal for travelers who want to experience the Adriatic in a more meaningful and immersive way.
Q: Will we be sailing the whole day?
No. Sailing distances are short and smooth, typically between 2 to 4 hours per day, with plenty of time for swim stops, hikes, and island exploration. Mornings are relaxed, and afternoons often end with anchoring in scenic bays or small harbors.
Q: What’s the daily rhythm onboard?
Expect a casual, no-rush vibe: breakfast on deck, sailing mid-morning, lunch and swim stops midday, and time to explore islands or relax in the evening. It’s a great balance of movement and stillness.
Q: Is there space for privacy onboard?
Yes. While the catamaran is shared with a small group (max 8 guests), you’ll have your own cabin and plenty of outdoor space to relax on deck, read a book, or enjoy quiet time.

Q: What should I pack for this tour?
You’ll need light hiking gear, comfortable clothing, swimwear, and layers for cooler evenings. A full packing list is provided [see What to Bring section].
Q: Do I need hiking boots?
Not necessarily. Good-quality trail shoes or supportive sneakers are enough for most hikes unless you prefer boots for ankle support.
Q: Should I bring my own snorkel or paddleboard?
No need—snorkeling gear and a paddleboard are available onboard the catamaran.

Q: What kind of accommodation is provided?
You’ll stay in a mix of carefully selected 3★ and 4★ accommodations on land, plus 3 nights aboard a modern catamaran, with private or semi-private cabins.
Q: Is this trip half board? What meals are included?
Yes, the trip is half board—breakfast and lunch are included daily, both on land and at sea. Dinners are left open so you can explore local cuisine at your own pace.
Q: What if I have dietary restrictions?
No problem! Let us know in advance and we’ll do our best to accommodate vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, or other dietary needs both on land and during sailing.
⛵ Sailing & Boat Life
Q: How many people will be on the catamaran?
The sailing portion is limited to a maximum of 8 guests, ensuring a personal and relaxed experience.
Q: Will I get seasick?
The Adriatic is usually calm, and sailing legs are short. However, if you’re prone to motion sickness, we recommend bringing medication or acupressure bands—just in case.
Q: What facilities are on the catamaran?
Your catamaran includes comfortable cabins, private AC bathrooms, a kitchen, dining area, sun decks, and paddleboard/snorkel gear. It’s like a floating boutique hotel!
🚐 Logistics & Transfers
Q: Are all transfers included?
Yes. All transfers between destinations—including the final transfer from Tribunj marina to Split—are included in the price.
Q: Where does the tour start and end?
The tour starts in Zagreb and ends in Split. We can assist with additional travel arrangements before or after the tour, including extensions to Dubrovnik or Istria. See the Trip Extensions section.
Q: Can I store luggage I don’t need during the sailing portion?
Yes, we can help arrange short-term luggage storage if you’re carrying larger items.

Q: Is there Wi-Fi on the catamaran or in hotels?
Hotels and guesthouses offer Wi-Fi. The catamaran may have limited signal while sailing, but 4G coverage is surprisingly good near the coast and islands.
Q: What’s the group size?
Group size is typically 6 to 12 guests on the land portion, and up to 8 guests onboard the catamaran. Private departures are available on request.
Q: Is tipping expected?
Tipping is not mandatory, but greatly appreciated—especially for your skipper, host, and local guides. We’ll provide tipping guidelines before departure.
