Our selection of “Tri Vinarije” (eng. Three Wineries) is based on the idea of diversity of wine offer, education on production technologies, hospitality of the hosts and the ambience of tasting. Therefore, in one day we plan to visit one mega winery Šipčanik – a former military airport, turned into an impressive space for wine aging, located in the heart of the vineyard, and two smaller family run wineries, which produce unique and top quality wines, but whose hospitality, winery ambience and gastronomic offer are the best of Montenegro.
In each of the wineries we will have the opportunity to try several types of domestic and foreign varieties of wine, liqueurs and brandies, and taste top quality Njeguši prosciutto, cheese, honey, olive oil and many other local delicacies.
Each of the tastings will be accompanied by historiographical explanations and discussion with local winemakers and winery representatives with the expert guidance of Funky Tours guide.
Absolutely no question will remain unanswered or a single bit of story unsaid. We will learn about the culture of wine production in Montenegro, about local varieties such as the royal variety Vranac, Krtošija, Žižak and Krstač. In addition, we will have the opportunity to try some of the globally known types of wine such as Chardonnay or Cabernet.
The tour is essentially hedonistic and is absolutely the focus of maximum enjoyment, both in the wines and food you taste, as well as the conversation, deep connection and the ambience of the tasting itself.
>Get ready to taste some of the best local products alongside the perfect selection of Montenegrin wines.
Due to the nature of the experience, the tour is very flexible and without restrictions and our experience tells us that it usually lasts from 7 to 8 hours (sometimes longer), which means that return is expected in the late afternoon. We shall drop you off at the place of your choice.
>After an amazing day of exploring stunning Montenegrin wineries and having time of your life, usually our return to Kotor (if you departed from there) is in the afternoon sunset hours.
