❐ Bosnia and Herzegovina at WTM Latin America 2023 has been presented as the Most Exciting Destination in the World
In cooperation with Visit Sarajevo and USAID Tourism BIH, Funky Tours presented the tourism potential of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Brazilian and Latin American markets.
The narrative in which Bosnia and Herzegovina was presented at the WTM Latin America tourism fair was excellent, and the audience’s response totally exceeded expectations.
This was the first time that Bosnia and Herzegovina presented itself to the Latin American audience, and the first impressions of the local audience are enchanting. Until now, Brazilians and other nations of Latin America have not been adequately introduced to what Bosnia and Herzegovina offers as a destination.

Destinations such as Sarajevo, Mostar, Medjugorje, Banja Luka, and other parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina ultimately left speechless the local media, travel agencies, agents and other tourism workers, and everyone agreed that Bosnia and Herzegovina must be part of the outbound offer of local Latin American agencies in the future.
In addition to promoting Bosnia and Herzegovina’s most famous destinations, at the end of the USAID Tourism BIH presentation, in the beautiful atmosphere of Chalet Quintal in Sao Paulo, where Bosnia and Herzegovina was presented as “The most exciting destination in the world”, our country experienced a standing ovation and the admiration of local media and tourism workers.
Additionally, promoting the Wine Route of Herzegovina and rural regions with their beautiful villages and natural beauties, Bosnia and Herzegovina has been placed on the map of the most attractive destinations in the world.
❐ Meeting the local media and tour operators from Brazil and rest of the Latin America. Bosnia and Herzegovina stand, attracted a lot of visitors.
❐ Meeting a community of local influencers and exchanging ideas on how to promote Bosnia to the Latin American travel market.
❐ Local travel agents were really interested to learn what Bosnia and Herzegovina can offer.
Bosnian tourist agencies, including Funky Tours, have made numerous contacts with local Latin American tour operators and those on a global level and offered to be an inbound partner not only for Bosnia and Herzegovina but the wider Balkan region as well as Central and Eastern Europe.
